Miniature magnetic sensors msHAL
This sensor was designed primarily for built-in furniture applications. This MSHALxxFx type is intended for sensing a magnetic field from the front face of the sensor. Any magnet with sufficient strength can be used as a counterpart. It is designed for a wide input voltage range, and the output is adapted to be resistant to incorrect wiring and, most importantly, to sense both polarities of the magnet. Therefore, it does not matter which side of the magnet is facing the sensor (South or North).
The sensor is most commonly installed in a groove under the edging. The counterpart consists of a magnet, which is included in the package. Other dimensions can be purchased separately. The cable length is available in several variants. The sensor can be used universally as a sensor for any 5, 12, or 24V PLC system. The sensor is not intended for switching a power load, but only as a signal with a max. load of 10mA. It includes reverse polarity protection. The magnet is of the NC type, meaning that if the magnet is not present, the output is closed (switched on) and current flows through the circuit. If the magnet approaches, the output opens. This allows parallel connection of sensors for, for example, multiple doors or drawers. If any of them opens (the magnet moves away), the output is closed, serving as a signal to turn on the central light.
Includes a 20x10x1mm magnet.
The output cable diameter is 4mm.
The required groove for sensor integration is at least 5x4mm.
The sensing distance with the supplied sensor is 0-6mm
