Protective filter element
This filtering element is used to improve the function and protect low-voltage DC signals, most commonly for automation control with PLC module voltages. The primary surge protection is for 24V power supply systems.
We recommend using it where cable routing is likely to be close to other high-frequency signals, 230VAC alternating voltage, or where long cable runs are disconnected.
A long conductor naturally behaves like a coil (creates inductance), and when disconnected—for example by a switch—voltage pulses occur in the cables, which can undesirably affect automation inputs.
This filter captures and eliminates a large portion of these spikes.
Protection against:
Overvoltage, negative pulses, high frequencies.
Caution: the output is polarized!
Wiring: yellow wire 'positive signal', black wire ground '-', white wires are input
The module is fully compatible with other MULTICORE products.
Filter parameters, including protection parameters, can be customized upon request.
- filtering element
- elimination of interference and signal bounce
- use for two-wire signals (buttons, switches)
- recommended for cable runs longer than 5m
- designed for signals up to 50V
- 3x0.25mm cable for easy handling and crimping
